Naku Tattoo Care

Tattoo aftercare

A new tattoo is fresh, sensitive skin. The first days are about keeping it clean, calm, lightly moisturised and protected.

Healing is not about doing more. It is about doing the right small things consistently.

The first hours

After your appointment, Nadia will cover your tattoo and explain when to remove the wrap. When you remove it, wash your hands first.

  • Gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap.
  • Pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel.
  • Let the skin breathe for a moment.
  • Apply a very thin layer of aftercare cream if recommended.

Do not scrub. Do not use alcohol, perfume, peeling products or strong cosmetics on the tattoo.

The first days

During the first few days, your tattoo may feel warm, tender, slightly swollen or shiny. A little redness, plasma, ink residue, flaking or itching can be part of normal healing.

Keep the tattoo clean and dry. Wash gently when needed, then apply a thin layer of aftercare cream.

Less is more. Too much cream can keep the skin too wet and slow healing.

What to avoid while healing

  • Swimming pools, lakes, sea and baths.
  • Sauna and steam rooms.
  • Direct sun on the fresh tattoo.
  • Tight clothing and strong friction.
  • Scratching, picking or peeling dry skin.
  • Heavy sweating if it irritates the tattooed area.

Itching and peeling

Itching and peeling are common during healing. Keep the tattoo clean, moisturise lightly, wear soft loose clothing and let flakes fall naturally.

Do not scratch, pick scabs, peel dry skin or rub the tattoo with a towel.

The tattoo may look a little dull or cloudy while healing. This usually changes as the skin settles.

Sun protection

Avoid direct sun on a fresh tattoo.

Once the tattoo is fully healed, protect it from sun exposure to keep the design looking clear for longer.

When to ask for help

Contact Nadia or seek medical advice if symptoms feel stronger instead of calmer, especially:

  • Increasing redness.
  • Worsening swelling.
  • Strong heat around the tattoo.
  • Pus or unusual discharge.
  • Fever or chills.
  • Pain getting worse after a few days.

A calm healing reminder

Your tattoo does not need perfection. It needs gentle care, clean hands, patience and time.

When in doubt, do not experiment with random products. Message Nadia and ask.
